- Before leaving on nights and weekends, every lights, except emergency ones, are closed, as well as computers. In addition, heating in winter is lowered by 3 Celsius degrees.
- When unused, the copier is set on energy-save mode.
- When possible, office supplies (papers, folders, etc.) are recycled products. Orders are reduced in order to spare useless suppliers' deliveries.
- Folders, papers, paper clips, etc. are reused.
- Paper is recycled. When a big quantity needs to be shredded, a company that recycles paper picks it up at the office.
- No utensils or plastic glasses should be used in the kitchen.
- Fluo compact light bulbs are used in the office.
- Most of the office-related shopping is done on foot (stamps, toilet paper, coffee, etc.).
- When possible, documents are printed two-sided.
- Many documents sent by fax before are now sent by email. Emails are printed only when absolutely necessary. It lowers the quantity of paper needed.
- Empty ink cartridges and batteries are recycled.
- We promote bulk-buying instead of individually sold products. It lowers the number of packaging/wrapping.
- We use tap water.
- Our Vice-President is a member of the governing body of Jour de la Terre (http://www.jourdelaterre.org/).
