Jacqueline Delsemme, a Real Estate Broker Dedicated to Giving Back to Her Community
Jacqueline Delsemme, a real estate broker affiliated with groupe sutton – clodem, is deeply involved with the Gisèle Faubert Foundation. Driven by a genuine desire to give back and help others, she devotes her time and energy to a cause close to her heart: providing compassionate and dignified care for people at the end of life.
For Jacqueline, every action counts. Whether it’s participating in fundraising events, raising awareness among those around her, or planning to volunteer at the future care home, she embodies the values of solidarity and kindness that bring this major community project to life.
The Future Palliative Care Home
A dream come true, thanks to the community
For over ten years, the Gisèle Faubert Foundation has been tirelessly working to make a deeply humane project a reality: the creation of a palliative care home to serve residents of the Montérégie-Ouest region. This haven of comfort, dignity, and compassion will provide end-of-life care in a warm, peaceful, and caring environment.
Thanks to the extraordinary support of the community, numerous fundraising events, generous contributions from local businesses, and countless volunteer hours, this long-held dream is finally coming true.
The strength of this project truly lies in solidarity. Last October, the Foundation held its Happening 2025, a memorable benefit event that raised $110,000 for the future palliative care home. During the event, local businesses offered their services either free of charge or at discounted rates, including two years of snow removal, paving, and reduced excavation costs.
This project stands as a shining example that when a community unites around a shared cause, even the most ambitious dreams can become reality.
A Historic Milestone: Construction Begins
After years of relentless effort, the Foundation has now gathered the funds needed to begin construction. The groundbreaking ceremony will take place on November 17, marking the start of a new, emotional, and hope-filled chapter.
The future home will include eight rooms, each offered free of charge to patients at the end of life from the region. It will provide comprehensive and compassionate care, the kind of attention that is often hard to achieve in already-overburdened hospitals.
This project represents far more than a simple building: it is a true haven of peace where every person can spend their final moments surrounded by respect, dignity, and love. The goal is to open the care home by the end of 2026.

Jacqueline Delsemme’s Inspiring Commitment
For Jacqueline Delsemme, this cause is a natural fit. She is actively involved in the Foundation’s initiatives, including annual fundraising campaigns such as the poinsettia sale.
When the home opens, she hopes to offer hands-on help to patients, perhaps sharing her passion for cooking to bring comfort through good meals. “Making a small difference in their final days, why not?” she says humbly.
As she nears retirement, Jacqueline is even considering taking the necessary training to provide end-of-life support, a deeply human gesture that reflects her sincere desire to help both patients and their families during these delicate moments. “I want to get involved because I love helping and making people happy. It’s my way of giving back to my community and trying to make life a little gentler,” she adds.
Getting Involved to Make a Difference
The Maison de soins palliatifs Gisèle Faubert project is living proof that collective action can bring great dreams to life. There are many ways to contribute, volunteering, donating, or participating in fundraising events, and each gesture truly makes a difference for patients and their loved ones.
Every contribution, big or small, helps ensure that each person’s final moments are filled with dignity and comfort. As Jacqueline beautifully puts it, “Bringing joy, helping, and contributing to the community” can transform lives and bring peace to those who need it most.
